Intl. Procurement

Detailed training on procurement processes

Within our major areas of expertise, due to our practical experience, we regard the mining sector and all its related constituents: from evaluating and developing a mine project, to studying and weighting the environmental impacts of the projects, to the monitoring of the proper implementation of the project, as one of our key practice areas. We have an extensive portfolio of mining projects where the often difficult processes of international procurement played an integral role in the success of the project. As such, the team at the Global Construction & Infrastructure Legal Alliance (GcilA) offers its clients high-quality advice when dealing with cases such as the cooperation with governmental agencies regarding mine and mining permits.

Past training, provided by our GcilA team has adopted an international perspective on procurement due to the range of GcilA clients, coming from all over the world. In the domain of international procurement, we don not only focus on the different states and their procurement processes, but we also take into account internationally recognized institutions and their particular influence on the subject matter. For instance, when it comes to public procurement, some of our training sessions were concerned with the World Bank and its functions in the international bidding process. Other workshops underline the problems and possible solutions to our often challenging times in regards to attracting investors. Among others, we have also held training sessions on bidders and the impact of international legislation regulating procurement in Anglophone and Francophone Africa.

In particular, among our past training sessions, we can count a pro bono training presented at the ACCl 21st Annual Meeting in San Diego in February 2010, where we outlined the problems and solutions in Public-Private Partnership (PPP) procurement and the major challenges for the World Bank and other multilaterals in relation to international procurement.

If this subject is relevant to you and your business or organization, feel free to contact us, so we can discuss your requirements and needs for a training sessions on international procurement in major markets. Take a closer look at our experience in training and conferences and explore our portfolio list depending on the region or country that your business or organization is located in.
