“Information is not knowledge” – “The only source of knowledge is experience”
These famous sayings from Albert Einstein have been the main rationale for the development of GcilA Knowledge Center aggregating the experience of the GcilA member firms when this experience has given rise to an in-depth analysis by GcilA senior practitioners who have made the additional effort to publish or to write conference papers or power points in leading publication conferences and seminar around the world. As very well put by Marek Belka (Executive Secretary United Nations Economic Commission for Europe) as an introduction to leading publication Compendium of Good Practices in Promoting Knowledge-based document:
With such a background, GcilA has made a unique effort to organize an integrated Knowledge Center addressing the most important issues in each area of practice by aggregating the experience of GcilA practitioners on a number and diversity of questions which mirror the diversity of their expertise. Indeed, the “GcilA brand” is a global and integrated approach for advising on most complex projects going beyond the traditional divides for instance between Common law and civil law, between up front advice and litigation, between developed and developing countries, etc.
