Forty years ago, six attorneys led by Bob Watt and Jack Tieder formed a boutique law firm specializing in public and private construction and surety law issues. In the subsequent 40 years, that law firm grew significantly, opening offices in California, Seattle, Chicago, Las Vegas and Miami along with its main office in Tysons Corner, Virginia.
Watt Tieder began at a time of huge infrastructure growth in the U.S. As a result, the law firm was involved during the 70’s and 80’s in almost every mass transit and clean water project in the country. In subsequent years, Watt Tieder worked on legal issues related to the “Big Dig” in Boston, power plants throughout the U.S., major U.S. road projects and all other types of public and private construction projects. Today, Watt Tieder is internationally known as one of the best law firms for construction projects, government contracts, surety and bankruptcy cases.
The entire team at the Global Construction and Infrastructure Legal Alliance congratulates Watt Tieder to 40 years of excellence!
