Kathleen Barnes – the ideal counsel for dispute resolution

Kathy Barnes focuses primarily on counseling and dispute resolution on behalf of contractors, owners, sureties and design engineers in the planning, design and construction of projects in the United States and overseas, including power plants, commercial developments, airports, bridges, highways and tunnels. Kathy has significant experience litigating all manner of construction claims in federal and state courts, and in arbitration. She also has litigated numerous contractor claims for equitable adjustment and defended government claims for defective design and construction before the Boards of Contract Appeals and the Court of Federal Claims.

Kathleen Barnes also has an active government contracts practice and advises contractors and sureties on a variety of issues involved in government contract administration and compliance. She has litigated bid protests and government contract claims involving hazardous waste cleanup, research and development, information technology and procurement for military and other applications.
